VCU Massey Cancer Center

The Virginia Moose Association is a group of men and women committed to raising funds and awareness for the VCU Massey Cancer Center. Since 1991, the Virginia Moose Association has donated more than $2,000,000 to the Center as a result of their fundraising events and community outreach. From Casino Nights to Golf Tournaments, the men and women of the Moose organize fun filled fundraising events in aiding support of Massey’s mission of eradicating death and suffering caused by cancer.

As one of only 69 National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers in the United States, VCU Massey Cancer Center is among the nation's leading research and clinical institutions. It is Virginia’s most significant resource for cancer research, clinical trials, and treatment and is a vibrant center of scientific knowledge, technical advances and medical expertise.

Current Fundraising Efforts

The Virginia Moose Association is currently raising money to support the VCU Massey Massey Cancer Oncology Wing in the new Adult Outpatient Pavilion.

To show our commitment to cancer care and research, the Virginia Moose Association is striving to name both the Patient and Family Lounges. These two areas are utilized  by both caregivers and patients being treated on the Radiation Oncology Floor.

When patients check in for their appointments and wait for access to the exam rooms and treatment, they will have access to these large, comfortable areas.  Caregivers will wait in these lounge areas while patients are in the exam and treatment rooms.

The VCU Massey Cancer Center has 50,000 patient visits per year and this number will continue to increase with the larger, state-of-the-art Adult Outpatient Pavilion.
